More than 100 million flowers, hundreds of tons of vegetables in Lam Dong need to support consumption

The Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong said that the complicated epidemic of Covid-19 has adversely affected the consumption of agricultural products in the province.It is estimated that flower production and fruits in the province need to be supported for consumption due to the influence of Covid-19 epidemic of more than 100 million branches;130 tons of butter and macadamia.

Of which, 30 million chrysanthemum branches with the price of 6,000 VND/5 branches;40 million single chrysanthemum branches cost 15 thousand VND/10 branches;14 million roses with 30 thousand VND/50 branches;6 million branches and flowers with the price of 10 thousand VND/20 branches;1 million lyly branches cost 30 thousand VND/5 branches;9 million branches of carnation cost 15 thousand VND/20 branches;220,000 kg of auspicious flowers for 30 thousand VND/kg;9,000kg Salem flowers for 10 thousand VND/kg.

In addition, the province also has 30 tons of packed macca seeds, with the price of 260 thousand VND/kg and 100 tons of pen butter, the selling price of 15 thousand VND per kg also needs to be supported for consumption.

According to statistics, by the end of 2020, the whole province of Lam Dong has nearly 10,000 hectares of flowers of all kinds with an average output of 3.6 billion branches/year, exported to foreign countries 370 million branches.

The whole province has over 56 businesses, flower villages and cooperatives producing flowers with 2,927 hectares of high -tech floral farming.In which, there are 2,463 hectares of flowers in greenhouses;170.1 ha of net houses;There are 51 tissue culture facilities with production capacity of over 72.38 million seedlings for commercial flower production.In particular, Da Lat City is the locality producing the main flower, accounting for 66% of the area and 71% of the province's output.

Dalat flower production and trading is a typical economic spearhead of Lam Dong province and has become a brand of the whole country.However, since the 4th Covid-19 epidemic broke out in Vietnam, Dalat Flower Industry faced many difficulties.Flower demand on the market decreased, many localities perform social ways, leading to a sharp decline in Dalat flowers.Even many gardeners have to cut flowers because there are no buyers.Lam Dong is in need of supporting agricultural consumption for farmers.

Time to receive registration of agricultural product consumption from August 9.On the basis of the posting of agencies, units, the provincial Farmers' Union will deliver products to the place as required.
